I can't think of anything exciting to say, so I won't. But I'll tell you a lot of boring, mom stuff.
First off we have ants. I hate ants. It is times like this, that I have to ask myself, "Am I a gross person?" I say no. But then I remember the time we had maggots....That was caused by rotting cheese in the trash can by the way. Probably shouldn't have shared that.
So Don bought these little ant traps you stick places, and the ants supposedly come in, eat some delicious, poisonous food, and then take it back to kill their colony...and da da da...THE QUEEN!!!!! Ya, what a joke. Those ants are smart little suckers. They just walk right on by. I acutally heard one say, "dumb humans!"
And then there is Chloe.
So last friday she had a fever.
Saturday. She had a fever.
We decide to take her into the pool to cool her off. We neglect to put any sunscreen on her.
Then she has a fever, and a sunburn, therefore an even higher fever.
Sunday I think she is feeling better, until she throws up all over me at church.
And then...yes, she still has a fever.
Monday I take her in to the doctor, he spends 30 seconds in there and says, "She has an ear infection." We get her started on some bacteria killer. (maybe this works on ants too?)
Tuesday-I take her to a water play area to distract her from her ear, and hoping to avoid the whole sunburn fiasco again, I slather her in sunblock.
She breaks out in a rash. Must be allergic to sunblock.
Wednesday. Rash is spreading to places I did not put sunblock. Hmm. Sherlock says, maybe it wasn't the sunblock, maybe it was the medicine.
Back to the doctor.
Doctor says: Not an allergic reaction to the medicine or sunblock, just a coincidence she broke out in a rash same time you started her on meds, and sunblock. She actually has Roseolla.
"Roseolla?" I say. That sounds delcious, does it come with cheese?
Actually, it is a virus, known to cause rashes, fevers and ear aches.
Mystery Solved!
I hope.
P.S. Question. So I took Chloe to this awesome water play area with all these refreshing water features, and what does she want to do? Play on the hot stairs and chase pigeons. Why?
